Verizon approached Buck and asked us to flex our storytelling muscles to help them illustrate some 5G scenarios. Together we conceived and pitched the idea of an interactive city where you could view different before and after scenes improved by a reliable fast connection.
We built out the world and stories in a web AR application to make it as approachable as possible to store visitors. The experience utilized Three.js together with 8thWall for its target tracking capabilities. Our intrepid team of modelers created rigged and animated characters to bring life to the stories, and developers created fun interactive moments to make the app worth exploring.
The experience was deployed at Verizon stores across the country so that visitors could learn all about how 5G can be used in their day-to-day lives.
