THE WORK OF CHARLIE WHITNEY

Nike wanted to celebrate their 50th anniversary with a look back at some of the most influential objects in their collection. From the original waffle iron they used to press shoe soles, to original Pegasus prototypes, and sketches for the swoosh.

Since access to the archives is very exclusive, we created a web AR experience that was placed in Nike stores worldwide that let visitors examine the objects on their phones in 3D space. We received photogrammetry scans of the artifacts and cleaned them up for real-time use in three.js, and took special care to match PBR materials.
